The Tennant Creek region has world-class solar resources (over 90% sunshine days annually), almost no competing land use, cheap flat land at continental scale, and the Adelaide–Darwin rail corridor and highway fibre for moving finished products out. Around 6 GW of solar with storage powers a sovereign synthetic-fuel plant, a sovereign AI-training campus, an agave biorefinery, and clean power for the centre — the cheapest power on the continent, put to work where it falls.

Australians do. Stored solar replaces trucked diesel across remote Northern Territory communities; finished synthetic fuel moves north to Darwin's strategic reserve; and green ammonia feeds the nation's fertiliser chain alongside Geraldton. The plan doesn't bet on energy exports — if buyers ever come on real contracts the platform can serve them, but everything pays its way at home first.

The precinct sits on Warumungu Country and operates under a structural Partnership Lease — Traditional Owners hold equity in the platform and revenue flows to community-owned services. Local employment is prioritised through co-located TAFE training. The model treats Indigenous economic participation as infrastructure, not policy add-on.
